watermelon (seedless)

Whatever happened to those good old watermelons WITH seeds? This one has no final seed details to paint and I miss them. Fun subject though so I'll probably try it again soon with seeds. Big painting revelation today: instead of an audio book or NPR radio, I'm listening to JAZZ. I must be a different person now than I was 45 years ago when I found jazz in coffee houses to be torture.

avocado comfort

After days of family and business obligations, my friend Marilyn Webberley noticed by email that I had been at my computer from morning until night. She advised me: "...you are sitting at your Mac toooooooooooooo long today! Have a cup of tea and go paint for a little while." So I did. This is comfort painting, a favorite food with easy shapes and familiar color. I feel better. 6x8 inches, oil on masonite
